Valkyries Win!

This past Sunday was an amazing day in Valkyrie history. The Valkyries beat Stanwood 24-8 at Lake Stevens High school.

If you were there, you know this game was a great game to watch. There was never a dull moment, so much action, great sportsmanship and amazing work in all aspects of the game. Offense killed it, Defense did their thing and our Coaches were rocking it on the sidelines with the rest of our teammates.

In true Washington fashion, the weather was amazing with just a little drizzle for a short window of time. Attendees enjoyed an opening of the National Anthem sung by Hallie Rose. Followed by a moment of silence for one of our very own Lisa Peck and her family, who were in attendance.

The half-time scrimmage by our Lake Stevens youth lacrosse team was a hit. We had a 50/50 and some awesome raffle baskets containing items like self care, family fun night, and some DeWalt swag.

A special shoutout to our Players of the Game

In Offense we have Demarae Howard #14! In Defense we have Brena McDermott #15! and our MVP goes to Rene Miller #4! Great job ladies, you gave it your all on that field and your teammates are so very lucky to play by your side.

We look forward to seeing you at our next game in Stanwood on June 10th at 6pm. Please share the word and purchase your pre-sale tickets from any Valkyrie or email Valkyriepresident@gmail.com.

All tickets sold at the gate goes to Stanwood, lets raise that money and give it back to LAKE!

Stayed tuned for Game photos from Amber at Love and Frame Photography.
